From 1990 until the present, Azlan has been involved in the area of commercial, civil and corporate litigation. His areas of practice include banking (Islamic and conventional); leasing and hire-purchase; commercial contracts; corporate and shareholders’ disputes; debt collection; goods sold and delivered; bankruptcy & company insolvency; foreclosure; land-related disputes; trusts; land acquisition; leases and tenancy disputes; libel & slander; torts. Over the past few years he has also ventured into the area of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Azlan has been appointed to represent the Bar Council in membership and disciplinary disputes. He has also been appointed by the Bar Council to deliver talks to pupils in chambers in the Professional Etiquette programs. Prior to joining Azmi & Associates as a Partner, Commercial Litigation in January 2005, Azlan was a partner with Messrs. Allen & Gledhill. Azlan Sulaiman was a government scholar who graduated from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England with an LL.B (Hons) in 1988. He returned to Malaysia and received his Certificate in Legal Practice in 1989. He was then called to the Malaysian Bar on 17 August 1990.
