Jacques van Wyk has extensive experience advising the South African corporate community on employment law matters and is well-versed in the employment aspects arising during mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructures. Jacques also undertakes employment law compliance audits and due diligence investigations on behalf of clients and advises on recruitment, restraints of trade, and dismissals including executive employee terminations. His experience extends to drafting employment contracts and letters of appointment, disciplinary codes and procedures as well as chairing disciplinary enquiries and appeals. He holds a BA LLB from the University of Cape Town.
